The aim of ground support is to provide safe working conditions during the temporary construction activities and to give a sufficient
long-term stability of the underground excavations in the permanent case. Ground support for safe working conditions, which is the
responsibility of the Contractor, are to be addressed by initial support. For the long-term stability, additional support will be designed
and nominated by the Engineer which the Contractor shall install.
