FIBER BRAGG GRATING
As the " Optical Fiber Sensing Engineering Technology R&D Center of Guangdong Province, T&S takes the frontier application and development of fiber grating sensing technology as the main research direction and introduces the most practical and creative products to the market.
FBG Sensor
Being a fiber optic sensor, a Bragg grating has all the advantages usually attributed to these devices, such as low loss relative to the fiber length, immunity to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, small size and weight, intrinsically safe operation in environments characterized by hazardous materials, high sensitivity and long-term reliability. In addition, fiber Bragg gratingtechnology reveals an inherent serial multiplexing capacity and an ability to provide absolute measurements without the need for referencing. This makes it a natural alternative to conventional electrical sensing technologies.
FBG ID Reflector
FBG Reflector can be used in FTTX fiber trouble-shooting monitoring. The combination of the OTDR and FBG Reflector can detect and locate fiber faults in minutes, protect investment of unused fibers, and reduce the cost of maintenance.
FBG Reflector is one of the two solutions under U-band Reflector (The other is Thin Film based TFR, and both the two are available at T&S.). FBG Reflector has been granted China patent and US patent. According to the standard ITU-T G.982, reflectance of any optical component between ONU and OLT should be better than -35dB, which makes FBG Reflector a perfect solution.
T&S FBG reflectors are designed in different encapsulation forms to fit different applications. Customized encapsulations are also available.
