SCB ( Surge Protector Circuit Breaker )-SSD ( SPD Specific Disconnector)

In low voltage power systems, a surge protector circuit breaker (SCB)-SSD ( SPD Specific Disconnecotor) is an external disconnector used in series with a surge protector (SPD). Surge protector circuit breakers are suitable for AC 50/60hz, 15/20 amp, 230v-400v range of TT, TN, and other power supply systems. The power frequency action current of the SCB breakers is less than 3A, (8/20s impulse current can pass through 120kA). All the performance indexes of products exceed miniature surge arrester circuit breakers and fuses, making them the best choice for SPD backup protection. The SCB (SSD) is connected in series on the SPD circuit and has the ability to resist high surges. The T1 level can reach up to 25KA (10/350μs), and the residual voltage is low. The surge protector main breaker can intelligently identify lightning current and power frequency current. When the power distribution system fails, it can trip quickly within 0.1S to protect the SPD from fire.

The SCB (surge protector circuit breaker)-SSD ( SPD Specific Disconnecotor) is specially designed for SPD according to the requirements of GB18802.1/IEC, to solve the problem that when the SPD has power frequency leakage current or working frequency follow current due to deterioration or power frequency overvoltage, The SCB acts quickly to disconnect the SPD from the power frequency distribution system but does not act when the SPD discharges the lightning electromagnetic pulse current; SCB breakers effectively solves the possibility of serious accidents such as burning and explosion in the application of the SPD, At the same time, it effectively solves the problem of protection dead zone when using a fuse or a spd circuit breaker as an external disconnecting device. In low-voltage power distribution systems, it is an ideal companion device for voltage-switching SPDs and voltage-limiting SPDs.

2. With a special design, it can accurately distinguish and identify the power frequency current and the lightning electromagnetic pulse current, and automatically make the correct action.

3. It has the functions of large current flow, low residual voltage, small power frequency tripping current, and short circuit protection tripping.

Note: It is forbidden to connect other loads at the end of the SCB.
