Fused WDM
Fused Biconic Taper Wavelength Division Multiplexing (Fused WDM) refers to a wavelength division multiplexer based on the fusion taper process. When the cores of the two single-mode fibers are sufficiently close, the two machine modes in the single-mode fiber will be coupled to each other through evanescent waves. Under a certain coupling coefficient and coupling length, channels with different wavelength components can be created and separated, and realize the multiplexer effect. The commonly used wavelengths are 1310/1550nm, 980/1550nm, 1480/1550nm and other wavelength division multiplexing. This kind of fusion taper wavelength division multiplexer shows the most 1x2, 2x2 forms of wavelength division multiplexing.
