There are various elastomer formulations for stoppers. Natural rubber is a general-purpose elastomer, mainly used for water-based liquid filling products in the pH range of 4.0-7.5. The post-treatment cycle (PEP 1) reduces the content of volatile extractables in the rubber component. The extractable formula of butyl stopper is very low and can be used with liquid, lyophilized or dry powder products that need to prevent oxygen or moisture penetration.
