Combustion and Explosion Hazards: Non-flammable, no special combustion and explosion characteristics. Under high heat, the pressure inside the container may increase, posing a risk of rupture and explosion.
Firefighting Methods: Spray water to cool the container, and if possible, remove the container from the fire area to an open space. Fire extinguishing agents: Since the product is non-flammable, choose the appropriate extinguishing agent based on the cause of the fire.
Health Hazards: At low concentrations, it stimulates the respiratory center, while at high concentrations, it produces inhibitory or even paralytic effects. The mechanism of poisoning also includes factors of oxygen deficiency. Acute poisoning: Mild poisoning shows symptoms such as dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, etc., and recovers quickly after leaving the exposure. People entering an environment with high concentrations of carbon dioxide can quickly lose consciousness, with reflexes disappearing, pupils dilating or constricting, incontinence, vomiting, etc., and more severe cases can lead to respiratory and cardiac arrest, shock, or even death. Chronic effects: Those frequently exposed to higher concentrations of carbon dioxide may experience symptoms such as dizziness, headache, insomnia, irritability, and weakness, indicating neurological dysfunction. However, there have been no reported cases of chronic poisoning in production environments domestically or internationally. Acute toxicity: Low oxygen (5%) containing 11% carbon dioxide caused all experimental animals to die within 60 minutes, while pure low oxygen (5%) only caused 1/10 of the animals to die.
First Aid Measures: Inhalation: Quickly move to a fresh air area. Keep the airway clear. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing stops, perform artificial respiration immediately. Seek medical attention.
