Emulsion carbomer is a lightly cross-linked acrylic (ester) copolymer emulsion, which can rapidly increase the viscosity of the system after neutralization, and has excellent thickening and suspension stability. Emulsion Carbomer Instructions for Use:
It is recommended to add more than 2%, and the disposable hand gel/liquid is usually 2.5-4.0%.
Emulsion carbomer can be directly added to the product formula.
The effective pH range of the polymer is wide: from 3.5 to 10 (or higher). It has a unique property: after neutralization and re-acidification, the suspending, stabilizing and thickening properties are improved.
Emulsion Carbomer Reference Process
Add ethanol and glycerol into deionized water, stir well;
Add UNICAP ST1 and stir well;
Slowly add triethanolamine under stirring for neutralization and adjust the required pH value
