Dodecyltrimethoxysilane Description

CFS-214 Dodecyltrimethoxysilane is a long-chain silane with three methoxy groups. It is soluble in a variety of ordinary solvents. It is mainly used as a waterproof agent with superior hydrophobicity.

Dodecyltrimethoxysilane Application

CFS-214 can be used as a waterproof agent and a protective agent for constructions. It can greatly improve the weatherability and durability of constructions.CFS-214 can be used as a surface modifier for the treatment of inorganic materials such as glass, ceramic, SiO2, kaolin and so on. It can significantly improve the dispersibility and compatibility of inorganic substrates with organic polymers.CFS-214 can be used for the protection of cultural relics. It can greatly prevent damages brought by acid corrosion and weathering.CFS-214 can be used to protect blank glass or film-treated glass and protect optical parts or precision equipment with scales and metal frames.

CFS-214 should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, and avoid exposure to humidity.CFS-214 should be stored in its original containers and used up as soon as possible after opening.When stored in a strictly sealed and unopened container, CFS-214 has a shelf life of 12months.
