Spherical Roller Bearings

Spherical roller bearings are designed to adapt to severe misalignment caused by mounting or deflection on the shaft & housing. Not every type of bearing has the ability to face the challenge of misalignment. Meanwhile, due to its two row of rollers, spherical roller bearings are able to bear high radial loads and some axial loads. They adopt a spherical or crowned rollers as rolling elements and raceway of the outer ring is also in spherical shape. For shock loads, their feature of self-aligning helps to absorb but has limited capabilities to high speed.
