KimaCell® CMC HV sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is As a water-soluble colloid in the drilling mud system, CMC has a high ability to control water loss. Adding a small amount of CMC can control the water at a high level. In addition, it has good temperature resistance and salt resistance. It can still have a good ability to reduce water loss and maintain a certain rheology. When dissolved in brine or water, the viscosity hardly changes, especially suitable for the requirements of offshore drilling and deep wells. CMC-containing mud can make the well wall form a thin, hard, low-permeability filter cake, reducing water loss. After adding CMC to the mud, the drilling rig can get a low initial shear force, so that the mud can easily release the gas wrapped in it, and at the same time, the debris can be quickly discarded in the mud pit. Drilling mud, like other suspension dispersions, has a certain shelf life. Adding CMC can make it stable and extend the shelf life.
