Barium Chlorate
Barium chloride is a monohydrate of barium chloride and barium chlorate, and its appearance is colorless prismatic crystals or white powder. Barium chlorate is easily soluble in water, and slightly soluble in ethanol and barium chlorate formulais Ba(CIO3)2.H2O. This product, barium chlorate, is a stable strong oxidant. Barium chlorate will not polymerize and decompose born chlorine and barium oxide. Barium chlorate can form explosive mixtures when mixed with reducing agents, organic matter, flammable substances (such as sulfur, phosphorus or metal powder. Rapid heating can cause barium chloride to explode. The use of strong reducing agents, flammable or combustible materials, strong acids, alcohol, sulfur, phosphorus, aluminum and magnesium is prohibited. Risk of Barium Chlorate
