Polyacrylamide products are mainly divided into anionic, cationic, and nonionic models. The properties of each different model of polyacrylamide are different, and the industrial applications they function in are also various. Among them, the industrial application of cationic polyacrylamide has the highest price and cost, so what are the broad fields of action its product properties have.

Ⅰ. The properties of cationic polyacrylamide PAM

Cationic polyacrylamide presents positive electricity in acidic or alkaline media. It usually has a lower molecular weight than anionic or nonionic polyacrylamide. Its sewage-bearing capacity is primarily achieved through charge neutralization. This type of flocculant's function is primarily the negative charge of flocculation, which has the functions of removing turbidity and decoloring. Cationic polyacrylamide is more effective than anionic polyacrylamide, nonionic polyacrylamide, or inorganic salt in wastewater treatment in alcohol plants, MSG plants, sugar plants, meat processing plants, beverage plants, printing and dyeing plants, and so on. Because this type of wastewater typically has negative charges, it may be repeated several times or tens of times.

Ⅱ. Application of cationic polyacrylamide PAM products

The product is also suitable for high-speed centrifuges, belt filter presses, plate and frame filter presses and other special sludge dewatering machinery. It has fast floc formation speed, coarse floc: the filter cloth peels off and other characteristics. Therefore, the dehydration rate is high, the liquid content of the filter cake is low, and the dosage is small, which can greatly reduce the user's use cost. It can also be used in liquids such as hydrochloric acid and medium-concentration sulfuric acid to separate and purify the suspended substances contained in them. Therefore, this product is widely used in sludge dewatering treatment in municipal sewage treatment plants, breweries, food plants, tanneries, paper mills, petrochemical plants, oil fields, metallurgy, chemical industries and cosmetics.

When high-molecular-weight cationic polyacrylamide is used in sewage treatment, the key is the concentration of the product. According to the analysis of the use effect of the product, it is closely related to the concentration of polyacrylamide. Then we should grasp the best product concentration under what conditions.

According to the results of the test, PAM cationic polyacrylamide has a good flocculation effect at low concentrations. In the 5-10ppm range, for example, the agglomerates after the flocculation spring are thicker, the flocculation time is faster, and the upper clear liquid is clearer. If the cationic polyacrylamide concentration exceeds 600ppm, the flocculant agglomerates finer, the flocculation time is prolonged, the upper clear liquid becomes turbid, and the spring effect is poor because when the concentration is too high, it produces polymer protection and forms a strong glue ecosystem. It cannot perform the function of flocculation. This is the component used to determine the concentration of cationic polyacryl.

The selection of cationic polyacrylamide requires the selection of ion models according to the industry's water quality properties, and the product's effect on water quality applications and the cost of use.
