N-Acetyl-DL-Tryptophan

N-Acetyl-DL-Tryptophan, also known as DL-α-N-acetyl-β-indolpropionic acid, DL-Acetyltryptophan, has the chemical formula C13H14N2O3 and a molecular weight of 246.26. Its EINECS number is 201-739-3. This substance is a fine organic chemical intermediate. At room temperature, it presents as white plate-like crystals or powder-like crystals. The melting point is 204-206°C, the boiling point is 586.6 ± 45.0°C, and the density is 1.3 ± 0.1 g/cm³.
N-Acetyl-DL-Tryptophan has poor solubility in cold water and is easily soluble in ether and sodium hydroxide solution, and slightly soluble in ethanol. Its chemical stability is good, but it needs to avoid contact with strong oxidants. The storage conditions require sealing at 2-8°C, avoiding light and moisture. It is mainly used in the field of biochemical research. When used as the detection object of the fluorescent detection material Sm-MOF, the detection limit can reach 0.55μmol/L. The safety label is S24/25. When handling, protective equipment should be worn to avoid dust contact.
