AN72/82-2000 wind turbine
AN72/82-2000 wind turbine consists of main components such as blade, hub, nacelle, pitch/yaw drive, PM synchronous generator, converter, control system, and tower etc.
The generator is a multi-pole permanent magnet generator and is directly mounted to the hub.
Permanent magnet takes care of the rotor excitation so no external filed excitation is needed. This implies that the generator losses would be reduced by 25% compared to a regular wound generator.
