TheKCTrangeofsplitcorecurrenttransformershavebeenspecificallydesignedtobesmallandeasytoopenandyetmaintaintheaccuracyrequiredforkwhmeters.Thebenefitofasplitcorecurrenttransformeristhatitcanbeplacedintopositioneasilyandwithoutdisturbingordisconnectingthemaincablesitismonitoring.TheKCTrangeofcurrenttransformershastwoinsulatedterminalcoversforconnectingtheS1andS2cableswhichlockdownovertheterminalscrewsfullyinsulatingtheconnections.ThismakesitidealtouseAutometerscablehamesseswhicharecolourcodedandindividuallynumberedoneachconductorensuringsimpleandeasyconnectionfromthecurrenttransformertotheelectricitymeter.
