Breakage or disconnect at the connector assembly: The connector assembly is a critical component of the camera, and damage to the assembly can cause the camera to malfunction or produce poor-quality images. Fluid invasion: Endoscopic O/R cameras are designed to be water-resistant, but exposure to fluids during use or cleaning can cause damage to the camera's components. This can occur through cut holes in the cable, worn or damaged seals, or forgetting to apply the soak cap prior to cleaning.

CCD circuit failure: CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) circuits are responsible for capturing images in the camera, and failure of these circuits can cause the camera to malfunction or produce poor-quality images. While CCD circuits are generally dependable, they can fail over time due to wear and tear or exposure to environmental factors.
