Mattress Rollator
The mattress roller is tested by rolling a 240-pound hexagonal roller 100.000 times (200.000 cycles) across the width of the mattress, equivalent to approximately 10 years of use.
This roller is suitable for mattresses of all sizes, from single to king-size. The PLC-based control system is easy to operate. Simply input the number of test cycles, and the machine will automatically stop after the test. In the event of a power outage, the hexagonal roller will automatically retract from the test surface, and the completed test cycles will be stored for restarting the test upon power restoration.

Complies with ASTM F1566. Sections 6 (Hardness Rating) and 7 (Durability Testing).
Features:
- Rugged and durable 240-pound hexagonal hardwood roller assembly mounted on precision ball bearings.
- The roller assembly is laterally balanced.
- The lateral position of the roller assembly is mechanically adjustable.
- The roller assembly floats freely vertically, unaffected by cylinder hysteresis, thus conforming to the mattress's natural structure.
- The roller assembly floats freely laterally (and can tilt freely when necessary, just like a human, thanks to the mattress's natural structure).
- For maintenance, the roller assembly (weighing 240 lbs) can be easily removed by simply unscrewing the two bolt caps at the bottom of each end. The motorized lift has sufficient vertical travel to allow it to be placed directly on a skid for removal.
- The roller assembly includes a metal deflector to dissipate excess static electricity.
- Adjustable dual-axis/four-corner support platforms are suitable for mattresses ranging from children's to king sizes;
- Manual adjustment is simple to operate. All tightening operations are performed via levers, requiring no tools.
- The corner adjustment crossbar includes a horizontal axis and a double rack and pinion mechanism mounted under the platform to prevent "drawer-like" jamming during adjustment. No straps are required.
- The top gantry is equipped with a battery-powered lift that automatically raises the roller assembly when testing is stopped (whether at the end of the test or due to a power outage). (The machine will not automatically restart after a power outage.) Please note that the lifting mechanism will operate without power to preserve accumulated test sequences.
- If the test sample becomes excessively worn, the roller assembly will automatically descend.
- If excessive wear occurs, the lower limit switch will halt operation.
- Variable speed motor control allows for easy adjustment of the cycle rate, up to 20 cycles/minute (depending on stroke), and control of the total test time.
- The roller assembly stroke is programmable but always starts from one end.
- Sealed polyurethane wheels and stainless steel tracks extend service life without lubrication (and prevent smudging). This also helps reduce operating noise.
- Center-mounted synchronous belt main drive system. Trapezoidal motion ensures even acceleration and deceleration of the rollers.
- Independent floor-standing control panel with touchscreen display, including: mattress size selection, running speed, cycle counter, start, stop, and jog control.
- An emergency stop button is located on the main control panel. The motor uses a mechanical brake when the emergency stop button is activated or during a power outage.

Independent slide-type vertical pneumatic actuators, enabling fully automated ILD/UTM test sequences using the main slide vertical drive.
The pneumatic actuators allow for powered lateral and longitudinal sliding adjustment and are programmable for automatic positioning and compression test sequences.
Flat-type fatigue-rated load cells, universal joints, 344 mm (13.54 inch) disk. Note: Custom disks are available upon request.
