The Enardo Detonation represents thebest value in flame arrestor protection. They prevent flamepropagation by absorbing and dissipating heat usingspiral wound crimped ribbon flame cells. These cells allowmaximum flow with maximum protection. They provideprotection against flame propagation in piping systemsthat are manifolded or have long run-up distances.Enardo utilizes a patented (US Patent No. 5415233)element assembly that dampens the high velocities andpressures associated with deflagrations and detonationswhile quenching the flame front. Our design is unique inthe ability to provide larger flame channels which requiresless frequent maintenance and greater ease in cleaningwhen service is required, translating to less down time.Our patented element offers maximum flow to pressuredrop characteristics enhancing the value of our product inany system.They are typically used for extended pipe length ormultiple pipe bend configurations to stop high pressuresand flame velocities associated with detonations andoverdriven detonations. In addition, it stops confinedand unconfined, low and high pressure deflagrations. AllEnardo units are bi-directional and are proven to stop anignited flammable vapor mixture approaching from eitherdirection that can be traveling at subsonic or supersonicvelocities.Designed with flanged connections, thisprovidesthe option of the removal of the flame cell element foreasy cleaning and replacement without disconnecting ofthe pipe connection. Standard housing construction isarbon steel and stainless steel. The element is availablein 304 S.S and 316 S.S.
