Extracted from drying rhizome. Containing volatile oil and ferulic acid, as well as strong 4－hydroxy- 3- butylphthalide, senkyunolide, Ligustilide, TMP (tetramethylpyrazine), Chuanxiongol, Sedanic acid and the like. According to identification , there is about 40 kinds of volatile oils. The main ingredient is Ligustilide, contains around 53%, 3- butylphthalide 5.29% and sabinene 6.08%.Brown yellow powder, taste bitter.
