Applications
The catheter sliding performance tester is a precision instrument specifically designed to evaluate the sliding performance of medical devices - catheters. Test Procedures
Install the tubing clamps into the clamping grooves of the clamping system. Adjust the distance between the two sliding clamps to the specified clamping distance, and then tighten the clamps, ensuring a good fit between the tubing clamps. Pass one end of the test tubing through the two tubing clamps from bottom to top, with the upper clamp of the testing instrument holding the tubing head. Insert the remaining portion of the tubing into a round tube filled with water, allowing it to immerse naturally for the manufacturer's recommended time. Adjust the position of the two sliding clamps in the grooves so that the tubing is centered. Start the testing instrument to allow the tubing to pass through the silicone pad a sufficient distance, and record the force versus displacement curve. Report the result as the average force value of the wetted section of the tubing on the curve.
