Thermal spray titanium carbide powder
Titanium carbide powder has excellent chemical stability. It is insoluble in common acids and bases such as water, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, and only corrodes slowly in hydrofluoric acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid. It is suitable as a raw material for making corrosion-resistant coatings. By spraying it onto the metal surface through the thermal spraying process, a wear-resistant coating with a thickness of 50-200μm can be formed, which can extend the service life of the parts by 5-10 times. The oxygen content of the powder is less than 0.1%, which can reduce the oxidation reaction during the sintering process and ensure the mechanical properties of the product. In oil drilling equipment, the coated drill bits prepared with this powder can withstand the high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environment underground. With the development of the new energy industry, titanium carbide powder is also applied in lithium-ion batteries. When used as an anode material, its theoretical capacity reaches 350mAh/g and its cycle life exceeds 1,000 times. After the surface of the powder is coated with a layer of carbon, its conductivity is further enhanced, and the charging and discharging efficiency of the battery is increased to over 95%. In the field of energy storage, it provides a new direction for the research and development of high-performance batteries and promotes the progress of new energy technologies.
