Titanium carbide powder suitable for high-performance hard alloy cutting tools

Titanium carbide powder is a grayish-black ultrafine powder with a purity of over 99.9%, and an average particle size ranging from 0.5 to 5μm. It features a high melting point (3140℃) and high hardness (Mohs hardness 9-10). It is the core raw material for preparing titanium carbide hard alloys and ceramic materials. In powder metallurgy, when mixed with cobalt and nickel powders and sintered, it can be made into high-performance alloys. The powder has good sphericity and excellent fluidity, with a bulk density of 2.5-3.0g/cm³, which can ensure the uniformity of the composition of the sintered products and prevent the occurrence of pores or segregation. In the production of cemented carbide, the addition of titanium carbide powder can increase the wear resistance of the alloy by 20-30%, and it is widely used in cutting tools, molds and other fields. Titanium carbide powder has excellent chemical stability. It is insoluble in common acids and bases such as water, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, and only corrodes slowly in hydrofluoric acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid. It is suitable as a raw material for making corrosion-resistant coatings. By spraying it onto the metal surface through the thermal spraying process, a wear-resistant coating with a thickness of 50-200μm can be formed, which can extend the service life of the parts by 5-10 times. The oxygen content of the powder is less than 0.1%, which can reduce the oxidation reaction during the sintering process and ensure the mechanical properties of the product. In oil drilling equipment, the coated drill bits prepared with this powder can withstand the high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environment underground
