Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU AD102-300-A1 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Chip
The NVIDIA AD102 GPU utilizes the Ada Lovelace architecture and is manufactured using TSMC's 5nm process technology. With a chip size of 609 mm² and 76.3 billion transistors, the AD102 supports DirectX 12 Ultimate (feature level 12_2). OpenCL version 3.0 and CUDA 8.9 are available for GPU computing. In addition, DirectX 12 Ultimate functionality ensures support for hardware ray tracing, variable rate shading, and more in future video games. The processor features 18,432 shading blocks, 576 texturing blocks and 192 ROPs, as well as 576 tensor cores to accelerate machine learning applications. The GPU also includes 144 cores to accelerate ray tracing.
