ASTM D7854 Coated Fabric De Mattia Flex Tester

Principle
Fold a strip of coated fabric two times with their long edges stacked to form a 125 mm × 12.5 mm strip. Install the folded strip between a pair of flat clamps, one of the clamps can be reciprocated, causing the folded specimen to bend outward five times per second. This high-speed folding of the sample continues until the predetermined number of cycles or sample is significantly damaged.
