G008 Manual Tearing Tester, The Elmendorf tear method can be used to test the force required to extend a specified length of a variety of sheet or film specimens under specified loads and specified cracks. It can detect the tear strength under a specific impact force, and the impact force corresponds to a specific drop hammer. First, a small tongue-shaped opening should be cut on the sample by the tester, and the tear strength can be then measured as the incision expanded. G008 Manual Tearing Tester
1. The tester manually clamps the samples, and the distance between the clamps is 2.8 + 0.3 mm. At this time, the pendulum bob is in the initial position and the clamp is in a straight line. The blade is sharp and not damaged. The blade should be centered and at the correct angle to the bottom of the fixture.
2.The tester is compact in design and consists of pendulum bob, base and cutter.
