The 5th Percentile Female Side Impact Dummy is a next-generation biomechanical surrogate designed based on anthropometric data of small adult females (5th percentile). You can use it to simulate real female occupants’ biomechanical responses during vehicle side collisions. The dummy is optimized for side impact protection systems, enabling systematic evaluation of side airbags and lateral vehicle structures on occupant safety.
Application
You can apply the 5th Percentile Female Side Impact Dummy in the following scenarios:
(1) Frontal and side occupant protection performance testing
(2) Evaluation of side airbags, curtain airbags, and door structures
(3) NCAP side impact testing and new car evaluation
(4) Regulatory compliance side impact tests
(5) Development and validation of vehicle side panels, B-pillars, and seat lateral protection systems
(6) Biomechanical response studies of vehicle safety systems
(7) Analysis of occupant injury mechanisms and safety technology development
Standards
This dummy complies with the following national and international standards:
(1) GB 20071 – Protection of occupants in side collisions
(2) GB/T 29120 – Anthropomorphic test device general technical requirements
(3) GB/T 24550 – Vehicle collision test methods
(4) ISO 6487 – Road vehicles — Measurement techniques in impact tests
(5) SAE J211 – Instrumentation for impact tests
(6) UN R95 – Side impact occupant protection
(7) FMVSS 214 – Side impact protection
(8) Euro NCAP – Side impact test protocols
(9) C-NCAP – Side impact test protocols
(10) US NCAP / IIHS – Side impact test protocols
(11) J-NCAP / K-NCAP / ASEAN NCAP / ANCAP – Side impact test protocols
