1) Before 1995, lining is Siliceous heat-insulating board,and average service life is from 6hr to10 hr. It has poor erosion resistance and pollution on ladle.
2) After 1995, people replaced the siliceous board with Magnesia calcium or magnesium coating as the tundish liner. The service life improved, up to about 24 hrs which could purify the ladle. However, it heavily increased the demand for mechanical spraying or manual labor daubing.3)Since 2000, with the rapid development of Tundish rapid replacement technology, the tundish service life has been greatly improved,which will also have more higher requirement on the liner.
