The length of this round bar can be customized according to specific requirements, ranging from 100 mm to 1000 mm. It is suitable for secondary processing operations such as precision grinding and wire cutting, enabling the fabrication of components with complex geometries. Although the initial cost is higher compared to conventional cemented carbide, a comprehensive evaluation of its extended service life and enhanced processing efficiency reveals a lower unit production cost. In the gear manufacturing industry, hobs fabricated from this material can achieve gear tooth surface accuracy of grade 6 or higher, meeting the stringent requirements of high-performance mechanical transmission systems. The manufacturing process of this round bar is highly controlled: from the purity of titanium carbide powder (≥99.5%) to the precise regulation of sintering temperature (approximately 1500 °C), each step critically influences the final product performance. The finished bars exhibit excellent dimensional stability, with a coefficient of thermal expansion of only 6×10⁻⁶/°C over a temperature range of -50 °C to 300 °C—significantly lower than that of typical metallic materials—ensuring consistent precision of cutting tools under varying environmental conditions. This material is widely employed as wear-resistant inserts in automotive molds, where it withstands prolonged high-pressure friction with minimal wear, thereby extending mold service life.
