Oxidized polyethylene wax plays multiple critical roles in film processing. The carbonyl and hydroxyl groups on its molecular chain confer exceptional polarity, enabling it to form strong complex bonds with polar resins such as PVC, thereby significantly enhancing lubrication performance. Functioning as both an internal and external lubricant, it reduces friction between materials and equipment to prevent roller adhesion while also diminishing intermolecular friction, improving plasticisation efficiency and balancing internal and external lubricity.
