Microcrystalline wax used for rustproofing
The rust-preventive mechanism and advantages of microcrystalline wax lie in its high molecular weight structure and adhesive properties. Its chemical composition, featuring long-chain naphthenic hydrocarbons, enables thorough wetting of metal surfaces upon melting. Upon cooling and solidification, it forms a continuous, resilient film that effectively blocks environmental moisture and electrolytes; Furthermore, microcrystalline wax exhibits superior gel strength and adhesion compared to ordinary paraffin wax, enhancing the coating's resistance to wear and peeling.
