Pot Magnets with Screw Holes Description

These neodymium magnet with screw holefeature threaded holes that enable users to fasten them on walls, wood boards, etc for holding tools. NdFeB(neodymium) magnet is used for the strong force.

Pot magnet is named after its shape, and it is also called cup magnet . Which refers to a permanent magnet encased in a steel pot/cup, and the magnet is glued and magnetized together with the casing to create a holding force that is significantly stronger than an individual magnet. Based on this prototype there are so many extensions being made by adding different accessories, using different shape components. Some of them could look so different from the prototype pot magnet but as far as their core working principle does not change, we still call them "pot magnet".

Magnets with holes, as the name suggests, refers to a pot magnet that has a screw hole in the middle that enables users to fasten them on walls, wood boards or shelves etc. by screw for holding tools and other objects.

Magnets with screw holesare often used as magnetic bases and magnetic holders for large supermarket ceiling signs, as part of a light fitting for a magnetic down light, or to attach an exhibition display sign to a stand for marketing purposes, e.g. at a trade show.

We have these magnet with threaded holein several different diameters available from D25mm(160N), D32mm(330N), D40mm(500N), D50mm(800N) to D60mm(931N), D63mm(110N) and D74.6mm(1750N) to match for various screws from M4, M5, M8 to M10 etc.

Take M-RBNB40F(D40mm) for example, it can be accommodated to a M5x16 inner hexagon screw, and with a small through hole on the working surface, it also works well with a M5x25 cross recessed pan head screw (see the pictures below for better understanding). For M5x25 cross recessed pan head screws, it is recommended to use a torque of 4Nm, while for M5x25 inner hexagon screws, it is recommended to use a torque of 2Nm on these bolts. Before installed on the machine, it is recommended to first clean thread parts with isopropanol and add Loctite 243 to threads.
