46 Units Closed Cooling Towers

In 2025, we undertook the cooling task for a large chemical plant, our biggest closed circuit cooling tower cluster project that year. This case not only demonstrates our technical capabilities in complex industrial environments, but also highlights the core advantages of CHT TECK closed circuit cooling towers in design and application. This article provides a technical analysis of the project, explaining our design concept and implementation plan.

The chemical industry has complex production processes, with harsh conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and corrosive media, imposing stringent demands for cooling systems—high efficiency, stability, environmental friendliness and safety. The plant has limited space and is located in an open area, requiring excellent equipment weatherability, corrosion resistance and long-term operational reliability. Meanwhile, chemical production sets strict standards for water temperature control precision and system energy efficiency. The client needed an integrated cooling solution with efficient heat dissipation, low maintenance costs, long service life and adaptability to the chemical plant’s specific environment.

Customized Layout and Modular Design

Our technical team conducted on-site surveys and repeated in-depth discussions with the client’s process engineers to develop a thorough Closed Cooling Towers for Chemical Plants implementation plan. Based on the plant’s available space and existing pipeline layout, we designed a compact, modular arrangement for the cooling tower cluster. Using calculations and professional experience, the team selected towers with different heat rejection capacities and configurations to maximize cooling efficiency.
