Phenyltrimethoxysilane Description

CFS-921, Phenyltrimethoxysilane is a functional silane with a phenyl group and a reactive methoxy group. The phenyl functionality enables CFS-921 to perform excellently even under high temperature conditions. With the presence of a triethoxy phenyl silane, CFS-921 can hydrolyze rapidly and form chemical bonds to various inorganic substrates. It is normally used to replace Momentive Silquest A-153, Dynasylan 9165, ShinEtsu KBM-103 or Dow Corning Z-6124, as their counterparts or equivalents.

Phenyltrimethoxysilane Application

CFS-921 can be used as a surface modifier and a dispersion agent of a variety of inorganic materials. It can improve wettability and dispersibility of mineral-filled polymers.

CFS-921 can be used as a crosslinker for organic resins and especially used in coatings, sealants and adhesives.

CFS-921 can be used as a hydrophobic additive to ptms silanecoupling agents.

CFS-921 can be used as a raw material to produce phenyl silicone fluids and silicone rubbers.

CFS-921 can be used as an electron donor in the process of polypropylene polymerization.

Phenyltrimethoxysilane Storage

CFS-921 should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, and avoid exposure to humidity.

CFS-921 should be stored in its original containers and used up as soon as possible after opening.

When stored in a strictly sealed and unopened container, CFS-921 has a shelf life of 12 months.
