Single Disc Cutter
Single disc cutter, also known as single disk, is a kind of disc cutter with only one cutter ring, which is mounted on the front and gauge area of the cutter head. It is mainly used as face cutter and gauge cutter to break hard rock with high uniaxial compressive strength (UCS≥70Mpa) and mixed ground. It is a key cutting tool for rock excavation.
Eccentric disc cutter is a kind of single disc cutter. The cutter ring of eccentric disc cutter is inclined to one side of the cutter hub, and this type of TBM disc cutter is usually mounted on the gauge area of cutter head, also known as gauge disc cutter.
