SiSiB® PC5420 Tetraethoxysilane

SiSiB® PC5420, the ethyl ester of orthosilicic acid, is a colorless, low-viscosity liquid with an SiO2 content of 28.5%. It is also called as Tetraethyl orthosilicate, Ethyl Polysilicate 28#.

SiSiB® PC5420 tetraethoxysilaneis the quivalent of Momentive's TEOS, Dow's Z-6697, Wacker's Ethyl SILICATE TES28, Evonik's Dynasil A, ShinEtsu's KBE-04.

Application

SiSiB® PC5420 may be used as an inorganic binder for refractory fillers and pigments, like precision investment castings.

SiSiB® PC5420 orthosilicate may be used as a second backup casting coating. It cures faster than colloidal silica system.

SiSiB® PC5420 may be hydrolyzed to form silicon dioxide (silica).

SiSiB® PC5420 may be used as a starting material for sol-gel process.

SiSiB® PC5420 may be used as a crosslinking agent for silicone adhesive.

SiSiB® PC5420 may be used as a binder in zinc-rich (corrosion resistant) coating.

SiSiB® PC5420 may be used as a chemical intermediate.

SiSiB® PC5420 may be used as a silane drying agent in sealing compositions.

Packing and Storage

SiSiB® PC5420 tetraethoxysilane is supplied in 190Kg steel drum or 900Kg IBC container.

In the unopened original container SiSiB® PC5420 tetraethoxysilane has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.

SiSiB® PC5424

Ethyl Polysilicate 40, CAS No. 11099-06-2. It is used as a hardening component in dentistry for impression materials and as binder for embedding material. Equivalent of Momentive's TEOS-40, Wacker's SILICATE TES40, Evonik's Dynasil 40.

SiSiB® PC5430

High purity Tetrapropoxysilane, CAS No. 682-01-9. It is used as a crosslinking agent for silicon rubber, and as a modifying agent for organic and inorganic resins. Equivalent of Evonik's Dynasil P.
