Sodium 2-ethylhexanoatemainly used for synthesizing isooctanoic acid and its calcium, magnesium salts, etc. It is also used as a salt forming agent for pharmaceuticals, a catalytic drying agent for paints, a stabilizer and crosslinking agent for polymers, a thickener for oil products, and an energy-saving additive for fuel oils.

Sodium 2-ethylhexanoateis used as pharmaceutical intermediates, also used inmetalworking fluid, coating etc.
Storage:
