Three proof adhesive
Three proof adhesive, also known as circuit board protective adhesive or coating adhesive, is applied to the surface of the circuit board to form a thin film of a certain thickness, used to protect the circuit board and related equipment from corrosion in harsh environments.
In situations such as containing chemicals (such as fuel, coolant, etc.), vibration, moisture, salt spray, humidity, and high temperature, circuit boards may be corroded, mold growth, and short circuits may occur, leading to circuit board failures. Three proof adhesive films can effectively protect circuits from chemical, moisture, and other contaminants, thereby improving the reliability of circuit boards, increasing their safety factor, and ensuring their service life. Three proof adhesive can be widely used as a protective coating for electronic components such as flexible and rigid circuit boards, aviation instruments, computer control boards, industrial control boards, semiconductor crystal circuit protection, home appliance controllers, and various circuits.
| Property | Three-Proof Adhesive |
|---|---|
| Composition | Acrylic-based adhesive with waterproof, dustproof, and corrosion-resistant properties. |
| Curing Method | UV/LED curing or thermal curing (heat-activated). |
| Key Applications | Circuit boards, electronic equipment, automotive components, and outdoor devices requiring high environmental resistance. |
| Advantages | Excellent adhesion, long-term durability, resistance to harsh environments (moisture, chemicals, physical damage). |
| Limitations | May require surface preparation; higher cost than standard adhesives. |
| Industry Use | Widely used in electronics, automotive, and aerospace industries for protection against environmental factors. |
Notes:
Protection: Forms a 1-2mm thick protective film to shield components from moisture, dust, and corrosion.
Durability: Enhances reliability and lifespan of devices in challenging conditions.
Cost: Premium pricing due to specialized formulation for extreme environmental resistance.
