Driven by the demand for natural and safe cosmetic ingredients, L-Cysteine S-Sulfate Na is gradually applied in skin care and hair care products, mainly playing the roles of antioxidant, anti-aging, and hair care.
Skin care ingredient: L-Cysteine S-Sulfate Na can penetrate the stratum corneum of the skin, be reduced to L-cysteine in epidermal cells, and participate in the synthesis of glutathione, thereby enhancing the skin's antioxidant capacity, scavenging free radicals, and delaying skin aging. It can also inhibit the activity of tyrosinase, reduce the synthesis of melanin, and has a mild whitening effect without causing skin irritation. It is often added to anti-aging serums, whitening lotions, and sensitive skin care products.
Hair care ingredient: L-Cysteine S-Sulfate Na can form stable complexes with metal ions (such as Cu²⁺ and Fe³⁺) in hair, preventing metal ions from catalyzing lipid peroxidation and reducing hair damage caused by oxidation. At the same time, its sulfhydryl group can repair the disulfide bonds in hair keratin damaged by perming and dyeing, improving the smoothness and elasticity of hair. It is added to shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks, with obvious repair effects on dry and frizzy hair.
