Silica fume
, also known as microsilica, is a byproduct of the production of silicon and ferrosilicon alloys. It is an ultrafine powder consisting of spherical particles, typically about 100 times smaller than the average cement particle. This fine powder is rich in silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and is highly reactive when mixed with cement, making it a valuable additive in construction materials.
Features of Silica fume:
1, With good insulation: due to the high purity, low impurity content, stable performance, excellent electrical insulation performance, silica fume makes the cured product has good insulation performance and arc resistance performance.
3, Corrosion resistance: silicon powder is not easy to react with other substances, and most of the acid, alkali can not react chemically.Its particles evenly covered on the surface of the object, with strong corrosion resistance.
5, after silane coupling agent treatment of silicon powder, all kinds of resin has good infiltration, good adsorption performance, easy to mix, no agglomeration phenomenon.
6, As a filling material, silica fume is added to the organic resin to improve the properties of the cured substance and reduce the cost of products
