In caste of regular cast blcoks the shrinkage cavity is located in the middle of the side opposite to the working face near to the surface.The blocks having such voids are usually installed and uesed in the area with no serious corosion ans the surface with scar is not used as working face considering no inffluence for furnace performance and life. The recommended fields of application are superstructure, working end, feeder channels and not glass contact areas.
