Applications

The infusion set flow rate tester is an instrument specifically designed for measuring and monitoring the flow rate of infusion sets. Its main uses include: - Flow Rate Measurement: Precisely measure the flow rate of the infusion set, usually displayed in milliliters per hour (ml/h) or drops per minute (gtt/min). - Flow Monitoring: Monitor the changes in flow rate in real - time during the infusion process, and promptly detect abnormal flow rate situations, such as the flow rate being too fast, too slow, or blocked, to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the infusion process. - Alarm Function: When the infusion flow rate exceeds the set normal range, the tester can emit audible and visual alarm signals to remind medical staff to take timely action and avoid potential medical risks. - Data Recording and Storage: Record and store information such as flow rate data and time during the infusion process, which is convenient for medical staff to view and analyze, and helps track and evaluate the patient's infusion treatment.

Test Procedures

Infusion Flow Rate

For infusion sets with a drip rate of 20 drops/mL, the infusion set should deliver at least 1000 mL of sodium chloride solution [mass concentration p(NaCl) = 9 g/L] within 10 minutes under a static pressure head of 1 meter.

For infusion sets with a drip rate of 60 drops/mL, the infusion set should deliver at least 1000 mL of sodium chloride solution [mass concentration p(NaCl) = 9 g/L] within 40 minutes under a static pressure head of 1 meter.
