Therefore, mold flux is the important guarantee of smoothly continuous casting production and high-quality casting slab. The main applications of mold flux are: thermal insulation, avoiding mold level ridging; air-isolating, preventing reoxidation of molten steel; getting rid of inclusions in steel; lubricating casting slab; filling air-gap between mold and casting slab, improving effects of heat transfer.
