Low-oxygen chromium carbide powder


This chromium carbide powder is black in color, with a particle size range of 5–25 μm, a purity exceeding 99%, and exceptionally low impurity levels. The particles exhibit excellent dispersibility and are readily compatible with metallic matrices. Following powder metallurgy sintering, highly wear-resistant components can be fabricated. It is suitable for precision applications such as precision bearings, micro gears, and other instrument components, where it helps reduce wear and enhance equipment operational accuracy and stability. Chromium carbide powder can be combined with other wear-resistant materials (e.g., tungsten carbide and molybdenum disulfide) to form composite coatings that offer both high wear resistance and self-lubricating properties, achieving a friction coefficient as low as 0.05. These coatings are particularly suited for unlubricated or poorly lubricated operating conditions. When applied to the surface of drying cylinders in papermaking machinery, the composite coating reduces friction-induced damage to paper, prevents sheet sticking, and improves production efficiency. The powder exhibits uniform particle size distribution, with a deviation of less than 10%, ensuring microstructural homogeneity of the coating and minimizing performance inconsistencies.
