Titanium carbide rods - highly efficient in mechanical processing

The manufacturing process of this round bar is highly stringent, with meticulous control over each stage—from the purity of titanium carbide powder (≥99.5%) to the precise regulation of sintering temperature (approximately 1500 °C)—all of which directly influence the final product performance. The finished material exhibits exceptional dimensional stability, with a coefficient of thermal expansion as low as 6×10⁻⁶/°C across a temperature range of -50 °C to 300 °C. This value is significantly lower than that of conventional metal materials, ensuring dimensional accuracy of precision tools under varying environmental conditions. It is widely employed as wear-resistant inserts in automotive molds, where it demonstrates high resistance to prolonged high-pressure friction, thereby extending mold service life. The round bar is available in customizable lengths ranging from 100 mm to 1000 mm and can undergo secondary machining processes such as precision grinding and wire cutting to produce components with complex geometries. Although the initial cost is higher compared to standard cemented carbide, the overall unit production cost is reduced when accounting for its extended service life and improved processing efficiency. In the gear manufacturing industry, hobs fabricated from this material consistently achieve gear tooth surface accuracy of grade 6 or higher, meeting the requirements of high-performance mechanical transmission systems.
