Chromium carbide powder with enhanced wear resistance and heat resistance
Chromium carbide powder is a grayish-black powder with a melting point of approximately 1890℃ and a Mohs hardness of 8.5. It features excellent wear resistance and oxidation resistance, and is an important raw material for preparing wear-resistant coatings and hard alloys. The powder purity can reach over 99%, with a chromium content of ≥75% and a carbon content of 10-15%. The particle size can be controlled within 1-10μm, making it suitable for various sintering and spraying processes. In the steel industry, applying it to the surface of rolls through plasma spraying technology can extend the service life of the rolls by 3 to 5 times and reduce the rolling cost. Chromium carbide powder has excellent wettability and adheres firmly to metal substrates such as iron, nickel and cobalt, making the coating less prone to cracking.
