Steps for installing Retaining Wall Reinforcement Mesh

CONSTRUCTION RECOMMENDATIONS: All construction should be based on final wall plans signed off by a registered professional civil engineer (PE) to ensure compliance with local building codes.

Steps at a Glance:

Prepare Foundation Layer: Backfill and compact the soil to the specified first layer of reinforcement in accordance with the design drawings.

Lay Reinforcement Mesh: Unroll Retaining Wall Reinforcement Mesh over the compacted area, ensuring it is perpendicular to the wall surface, and cut to the specified length.

Handling of corners and laps: Corners require special layout, and laps between layers must be filled with 7.6cm of soil or more to avoid direct mesh overlap.

Placement of the next layer of wall units: Insert and fix the new layer of units by means of pins, passing through the grid and firmly connecting with the lower layer.

Tension the reinforcement mesh: stretch back from the wall and fix the ends, making sure that they are tensioned and wrinkle-free.

Backfill and compact the soil: lay the drainage aggregate first, then backfill and compact from the wall side back.

Equipment Compaction Considerations: Backfill with at least 6 inches of soil before operating equipment on the grid layer; avoid using heavy machinery within 0.9 meters of the wall.

Repeat Laying and Reinforcement: Continue laying in layers according to the drawings until the final design height is reached.
