Gear operated valve regulates the flow of liquid or gas. The disc of the worm gear operated butterfly valve is installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. In the cylindrical passage of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly disc rotates around the axis and the rotation angle is between 0° and 90°. When the rotation reaches 90°, the gear operated valveis in a fully open state. Gear drive has the advantage of saving labor, being easy to operation and longer service life.

The gear operated valve (Gear Operated Butterfly Valve and Lever Operated Butterfly Valve) is made of cast iron, ductile iron, cast steel as well as stainless steel.

Both Gear Operated Butterfly Valve and Lever Operated Butterfly Valve are used in a number of applications for industrial sectors that include food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil, gas, water as well as wastewater management.

The two manual methods are lever and gear operation. Lever operated butterfly valves use a quarter-turn lever. It is the simplest form of butterfly valve operation, but it is impractical and difficult for larger valves.

Gear operation is another common method for opening and closing butterfly valves. This method is used for all different types of gear-operated valve, both big and small. Gear wheel makes wafer butterfly valvesoperation even easier.
