Polyphenylene ether is a high-performance plastic that is ideally suited for heat-resistant parts, insulating parts, wear-reducing and abrasion-resistant parts, transmission parts, as well as parts in the medical and electronics fields. It can withstand high temperatures, so it is often used to make parts such as gears, air blades, valves, etc., and can even replace stainless steel. In addition, polyphenylene ether can be used to make screws, fasteners and connectors, as well as parts of motor rotors and transformers.

The application of polyphenylene ether in the photovoltaic industry is also crucial. Solar cells are the core of solar power systems, but a single solar cell can only produce 0.5-0.6 volts, which is far below the voltage required for practical use. In order to meet the actual demand, multiple solar panels must be combined into a solar cell square array via PV connectors to obtain the required voltage and current. However, PV connectors operate in harsh environments, where safety and longevity are key issues, so connectors with high reliability are needed, and polyphenylene ether is the ideal material to meet this need.
