At room temperature, it is a pale yellow paste. It is an O/W emulsifier with a polysorbate 60 HLB value of 14.9. Normally, polysorbate 60 is soluble in water, ethanol, ethyl acetate, and toluene. Now, polysorbate 60 is widely used as a food additive or finisher and lubricant in the textile industry. It is often used in combination with sorbitan monostearate.

From Performance:

Tween 60 is easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, and other solvents, but it is insoluble in mineral oil and dynamic oil. It has excellent emulsifying properties, wetting, foaming, diffusion, and other functions. Similar to polysorbate 60, tween-80 is easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, and insoluble in mineral oil.
