Cationic Flocculants for Paper Making

SINOFLOC offer a wide range of powder cationic polyacrylamide, as well as coagulants, to be used on paper mills and wastewater treatment plant. Our cationic emulsion polymer is suitable for the functions of different types of paper production:

Paper retention aid
Fillers, fines, fibers and minerals could be selectively retained in the sheet by optimizing retention. This approach will increase the paper quality and improving productivity. Well controlled retention will also improve dewatering and the retention of other papermaking chemicals. SINOFLOC cationic flocculant is designed to improve the water holding capacity, drainage and operation of machines.

Dewatering and water treatment
Our cationic polyacrylamide (PAM) is used in the treatment of plant water, wastewater and sludge and to increase the machines speed and production rate. For the treatment of white water and wastewaters in the paper process, our cationic flocculants could neutralize the anionic polymer charge trash in the water circuit and are very effective in treatment.

Drainage Aid
Our cationic polyacrylamide (PAM) with low molecular weight and high cationic charge are suitable for used as drainage aid.

Products Feeding:
Before using, the cationic polyacrylamide emulsion should be shaken sufficiently. And for material conveying, it shall avoid the choosing centrifugal pumps and other high shear rotor pumps and screw pumps, diaphragm pumps and other low shear pumps shall be used. The solutions of SINOFLOC cationic powder polymers must be prepared in suitable plants equipped with dry powders feeding and dispersion units and with continuous and moderate agitation. The dissolution water must have a temperature included between 10°C and 40°C; For a correct use of SINOFLOC cationic polymerization and in order to achieve the best possible results, it is necessary to allow a “maturation” time of 60 minutes. When treating turbid water, the flocculants solution must be added to the water in a point of average turbulence, in order to achieve a thorough and homogeneous mixing without impairing the flock formation. Recommend operating concentration is 3g/l, and the maximum operating concentration is 15g/l.
